Thirty-two 5th grade students from St. Francis Area Schools recently showcased their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities at the Math Masters competition in Golden Valley on Saturday, April 25.
A total of 42 students are in the group and have been meeting on Tuesdays after school for the past two months to practice and prepare. The competition is a comprehensive event that includes a 75-question Fact Drill, three Individual rounds, and three Team rounds.
The students competed against 20 teams in a field of 96 total students from across Minnesota districts.
