Four seats on the St. Francis Area Schools School Board will be on the ballot in the general election held on Tuesday, Nov. 5. There are 10 people running for these seats. On Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the St. Francis High School Performing Arts Center, the St. Francis Area Schools Community Education Advisory Council (CEAC) will host a Meet the Candidates event.
The community is invited to meet the candidates to get a better idea of who they want on the school board. The 10 candidates who have filed to be placed on the ballot have been invited to the forum are: Andrea Anson, Matt Beukema, Jeff Blake, Karen Costello, Thomas H. Hall, Jake Humphrey, Ashley R Metz, Kwadwo Osei, Rob Schoenrock , and Chad Working.
Questions from the community can be submitted through this form with a deadline of Monday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. The questions will be vetted by members of the CEAC and some will be selected as questions for the moderator to read to the candidates. The meeting will be recorded and will be uploaded to the District’s YouTube channel on Sept. 25.
Four at-large seats will be filled by a general election. Elected board members will take office in January 2025 and serve until January 2029.
